Center Stage
Chelsea Clinton has grown up in the spotlight and the shadow of her "political rock-star" parents. She was a mere 12 years old when her father claimed his party's nomination at the 1992 Democratic National Convention, above.

A King and a President

"My concern is just giving her the chance to have her own life, to be able to grow up as normally as possible if she's living in the White House," said Hillary Clinton before her husband's election. "And that's what I'm going to be focused on."

Rough Patch
The still-young Chelsea was just entering her naturally awkward teenage years when her father was elected President. Her transition into womanhood was made all the more difficult by the brutally insensitive jokes of comedians, television writers and pundits. Rush Limbaugh once went so far as to suggest her as a canine rival to Socks, the Clintons' cat.

Daddy's Girl
Clinton has always enjoyed the unqualified support of both her parents.

On the Trail
Chelsea campaigned extensively on behalf of her mother during the 2008 presidential campaign.

Wedding Bells
In a Nov. 27 e-mail sent to friends and family, Clinton announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky. In the note, she did not mention a date, writing, "We are looking toward next summer and hope you all will be there to celebrate with us."
